Our Lift/Slide doors can be produced in a variety of track and operable panel configurations, so we’ll be able to create a system that is perfect for your home’s design. Plus, due to our unique modular design, we are able to produce the system in any track varietal from two tracks and up. Combining a multi-track profile with flush hardware from Siegenia-Aubi will provide you with easy Lift/Slide operation and functionality of a true multi-slide door system.
Lift/Slide hardware helps to create a tight air seal on operable panels, so you don’t get a cold draft even in winter, but are still easy to open when in the “lift” position. In order to make our lift doors easy to operate, we utilize three different hardware sets: 150-kilogram max weight per panel, 300-kilogram max weight per panel and 400-kilogram max weight per panel.
For our technical details fans, here’s the hardware used per weight: The 150 and 300kg hardware uses two roller cartridges, per panel, for a total of four rollers, while the 400kg hardware uses four roller cartridges per panel to help carry that larger weight.
Fundamentally, MLift slides much easier and smoother than a traditional sliding door because the hardware lifts the door panel up when being opened or closed, so you reduce any impedance by the weatherstrip. This allows very large door panels to work much easier no matter how large a space you are covering, giving you more design options. We also offer either a flush handle or an exposed handle for more design options.
